United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)

ISG was recently selected to perform an evaluation of the Gender-based Violence Information Management System (GBVIMS) for UNFPA.

The GBVIMS was created to harmonize data collection on gender-based violence in humanitarian settings, to provide a simple system for actors providing services to GBV survivors to collect, store and analyse their data, and to enable the safe and ethical sharing of reported GBV incident data within and between relevant entities. As part of this evaluation, ISG investigated the implementation period for the GBVIMS from mid-2008 to mid-2013, considering both global and country-level processes. Field visits to Colombia and Kenya (Dadaab) were carried out in order to fully assess whether the GBVIMS has met its objectives and to inform future GBVIMS roll-outs.
