ISG was selected by the Human Securities Division at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs to conduct a formative and summative evaluation of the Small Arms Survey (SAS).
The Small Arms Survey is an independent research project located at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. The main objectives of SAS is to serve as the principal international source of impartial and public information on all aspects of small arms and armed violence and to act as a resource for governments, policy-makers, researchers, and activists in terms of information and research on small arms and armed violence issues.
The objective of the evaluation was to not only examine the current impact of the SAS programming but to also produce findings on how to further strengthen the programming and organization. The evaluation also examined future opportunities for the SAS, including institutional growth and strategy, focusing on HSD and SAS’s strategic partnership.
