The United Nations Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development (UN GAID) selected ISG to carry out a feasibility study of the Alliance.
Launched in 2006 after comprehensive worldwide consultations with governments, the private sector, civil society, the technical and Internet communities, and academia, UN GAID was approved by the United Nations Secretary-General. UN GAID was the answer for the need for a truly global forum that would comprehensively address crosscutting issues related to ICT in development.
ISG performed a feasibility study that provided strategic advice and assistance to UN GAID in assessing its current structure and programming, informed UN GAID’s future development strategy, and helped UN GAID be more responsive to its mission. This study assessed the demand of UN GAID’s services and support the organizational development of the organization. In addition, it examined new programming that will allow the organization become more responsive to its mission.
