ISG is working with ACDI/VOCA to undertake a final evaluation of the Liberian Agricultural Upgrading, Nutrition and Child Health (LAUNCH) Program.
ACDI/VOCA, together with Project Concern International, John Snow Inc., and Making Cents International have been implementers of the five-year (2010-2015) USAID Title II MYAP-funded Liberian Agricultural Upgrading Nutrition and Child Health (LAUNCH) program. LAUNCH was designed to improve the food security of vulnerable rural people in the Liberian counties of Bong and Nimba. Using a multi-sectoral approach to address both the underlying chronic causes as well as the acute symptoms of food insecurity, LAUNCH was intended to reduce food insecurity in more than 90,000 households in Liberia.
In this context, ACDI/VOCA has proposed a final evaluation process that will include a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the performance of the program focusing on outcome and impact level program indicators. Tools to be used include Focus Group Discussions and Key Informant Interviews, as well as anthropometric measurements and quantitative household surveys.
