In the Fall of 2009, ISG developed a workshop series to convey its expertise in areas including Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management, and Proposal Writing to local and international organizations and companies. ISG seeks to deliver these workshops to build the capacities and knowledge of these locally-based organizations, as well as to establish communications and build relationships for potential future partnerships.

On November 22-23, ISG held the first event in its workshop series, an “Introduction to Monitoring and Evaluation.” The workshop drew upon ISG’s extensive monitoring and evaluation experience through projects conducted in Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, Morocco, Azerbaijan, and the Ukraine. The workshop was held at the Queen Zein al-Sharaf Institute for Development (ZENID), a core unit of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), a frequent ISG partner. The workshop’s 18 participants included representatives from the United Nations, the International Catholic Migration Commission, National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, International Medical Corps, and DAI. All participants gave very positive feedback and expressed interest in the other courses in ISG’s Workshop Series.
